Job summary
Clear Labs in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to strengthen the reliability and validation of our FDA-cleared NGS diagnostics platform. This is a hands-on, senior role where you will be at the deck daily, developing methods, troubleshooting Hamilton systems, and contributing to formal validation studies.

Qualifications
- 8+ years hands-on experience with Hamilton STAR/STAR2 and VENUS software.
- Troubleshooting Hamilton hardware, peripherals, and modules.
- Experience qualifying multi-unit automation fleets with change-control.
- Ability to script automated methods in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop methods and troubleshoot Hamilton STAR/STAR2 automation for NGS library prep.
- Design and execute automated-vs-manual equivalence and validation studies.
- Support root-cause investigations for automation issues affecting library quality and sequencing output.
- Collaborate with Regulatory and Quality on validation protocols and documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors to support fleet performance.
