Job summary

Nike Air Manufacturing & Innovation seeks an experienced Automation Execution Lead to translate approved concepts into safe, reliable manufacturing solutions that can be transitioned to Operations. You will partner with Automation, Operations, IT, and external providers to deliver scalable deployments across the AMI network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in automation, robotics, controls, or related engineering.
• Experience delivering automation projects from detailed design through commissioning and handoff.
• Strong knowledge of Rockwell PLCs, HMI, networking, and controls architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution and deployment of automation solutions across Air MI operations.
• Design, integrate, and deploy automation across material handling, thermoforming, inspection, packaging, and connected systems.
• Drive commissioning, validation, FAT/SAT, pilot, go-live, and production acceptance activities.
• Partner with Lead Automation Engineers to convert production-intent designs into deployable solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure project readiness and implementation.
• Troubleshoot complex automation, controls, robotics, and system integration issues.
• Develop technical documentation and deployment playbooks for scalable implementation.
• Provide technical coaching to Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
• Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to project leadership.
