Job summary

Nike Air Manufacturing & Innovation (Air MI) in Missouri is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operationalization of advanced automation projects across our production facilities. You will drive commissioning, validation, go-lives, and sustainment, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

You’ll partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, IT, and external vendors to scale repeatable deployment standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of automation/robotics experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience delivering automation projects from design through commissioning and handoff.
• Strong knowledge of Rockwell PLCs, HMI, industrial networking, and controls architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration, and deployment of automation across material handling, thermoforming, inspection, packaging, and connected systems.
• Drive commissioning, validation, FAT, SAT, pilot runs, go-lives, and production acceptance activities.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, IT, Facilities, EHS, and vendors to ensure readiness and implementation.
