Job summary

Pieper Automation is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead automation projects, program systems, and cultivate strong customer relationships. You will work independently or within a project team, travel 50-90% for commissioning, and communicate effectively across levels of personnel.

Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 10+ years in automation, and deep expertise in Process Control, PLCs, SCADA, and PlantPAx, with a strong emphasis on safety and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in the automation field.
• Extensive experience in Process Control.
• Experience with Rockwell PlantPAx is preferred.
• Knowledge of drive systems, robotics, and/or vision systems.
• Strong attention to detail, technical aptitude and problem solving.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Execute automation projects meeting customer needs and requirements.
• Involved in project estimating, design reviews, programming, installation and commissioning support.
• Interface and communicate with engineers, project managers, electricians, vendors, customers, and leadership.
• Build and maintain customer relationships to drive repeat business and growth.
