Job summary

HealthEdge Software, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to join our remote US team. You will develop automation within our Java-based in-house framework, execute both white- and black-box testing, and craft test plans for data-heavy scenarios.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a software development environment.
• Ability to write automated test code and tools.
• Expert in UI test automation tools (Katalon, Cypress or similar) and API testing (SoapUI, RestAssured, or similar).
• Experience with performance testing (JMeter, K6 or similar).
• Experience with various test automation frameworks (Cucumber, RSpec, Fitness, TestNG or similar).
• Proficiency with OO languages (Java, C#, C++ or similar).
• Proficiency with scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, Ruby or similar).
• Working with RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL or similar).
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC practices (Lean, Scrum, XP).
• Experience with DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture and SOA best practices.
• Experience with Git and distributed SCMs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with Onshore/Offshore collaboration.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Linux is a plus.
• Experience with WebLogic is a plus.
• Healthcare domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation within existing tools and frameworks and extend them as needed.
• Execute both white- and black-box testing.
• Create and execute test plans and test cases based on requirements and user stories with complex data scenarios.
• Identify testing gaps and process flaws; suggest improvements to increase product quality.
• Contribute to DevOps work and improve the CI/CD for the team.
• Interact with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and drive on-time releases.
• Participate in product demos.
