Job summary

Wood PLC is seeking a Senior Automation Technical Professional in Borger, Texas. The role focuses on designing and implementing automation systems for oil & gas projects, with hands-on experience in Honeywell Experion DCS and Triconex SIS, plus travel to client sites.

The successful candidate will engage in all project phases, support FAT/SAT and commissioning, and collaborate with procurement staff. Hybrid work options apply, with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 10–15 years automation experience.
• Experience with DCS hardware, networks, SCADA, HMI, and databases.
• Experience with Honeywell Experion/TDC DCS; Triconex PLCs is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation systems for oil & gas and process projects.
• Participate in all project phases from front-end engineering to commissioning.
• Support site surveys, FATs, SATs, and on-site commissioning activities.
• Review project schedules and cost estimates; contribute to procurement and vendor evaluations.
• Travel to customer locations for project implementation (up to 25%).
