Jobot in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Machine Design Engineer to design, develop, and enhance custom automation equipment for manufacturing. You will blend mechanical design with electrical systems and automation throughout the development cycle.

The role uses SolidWorks or Fusion 360 for modeling, involves PLCs/HMI programming, and requires collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver robust equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience with 3D CAD software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop custom automated equipment and assemblies.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Design mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Develop equipment specifications and project approaches.
• Read and prepare engineering drawings and schematics.
• Program, troubleshoot, and support PLCs and HMIs.
• Test equipment and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Prepare equipment manuals and technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to realize designs.
