Job summary

Everlaw seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Automation & Developer Tools to shape automated testing and CI/CD at a leading SaaS platform. You will build tooling, templates, and documentation to boost team velocity, mentor QA engineers, and drive reliable release cycles.

You’ll work across Development and QA, refining testing infrastructure, guiding colleagues in Cypress and other automation techniques, and collaborating with DevOps to ensure robust pipelines.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent coursework.
• 5+ years of experience with Cypress for web application automation.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI or GitLab.
• Experience with API testing and validating data across layers.
• Mentorship mindset and ability to coach others on automation techniques.
• Proactive problem-solver able to navigate Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Refine and evolve testing infrastructure and tooling to enable shippable features at scale.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing systems using Cypress, GitHub Actions, CircleCI and related tools.
• Create internal tools to improve developer productivity and shorten iteration cycles.
• Partner with DevOps to optimize test execution and reliability in CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive best practices in testing, observability, and release confidence across the engineering org.
• Research and apply new automation approaches, including AI, to stay cutting-edge.
