Job summary

Everlaw is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Oakland, CA team. You will own features end-to-end, from design through release, across the full stack with autonomy. Join a team that emphasizes code quality, maintainability, and impact on legal data workflows.

You will collaborate with product, design, and DevOps to design, build, and launch robust capability, while debugging complex issues and contributing to documentation. We value mentorship and long-term growth within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent coursework.
• Experience in coding with compiled languages (C++, Java, etc.) and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc).
• Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms and data structures.
• Experience delivering software projects (class, internship, or personal).
• Authorized to work in the United States; employer does not sponsor visas at this time.

Responsibilities

• Build new product features end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and DevOps to ship functionality.
• Improve reliability by debugging across a large-scale codebase.
• Contribute to system documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Ramp up quickly with a dedicated onboarding mentor.
