Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering (WM) seeks a Senior Controls Engineer in Philadelphia to design and implement Emerson DeltaV automation for life sciences. You will scope, configure, and validate systems, ensuring cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams on complex projects.

You will also mentor junior engineers, participate in FAT/SAT, and help deliver robust automation solutions for biopharmaceutical manufacturing in a fast-paced, ESOP-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• 6 to 12 years of experience minimum in automation and control system engineering with a focus on Emerson DeltaV

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and implement Emerson DeltaV control systems in line with customer specs and WM standards
• Design and program Batch processes per ISA-88 standards (including Emerson DeltaV)
• Collaborate with life sciences clients to gather requirements and develop automation solutions
• Engineer system architecture, hardware specs, and control strategies to optimize manufacturing
• Configure controllers, applications, HMI, and historian with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
• Conduct FAT/SAT testing to validate performance
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians on projects
