Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to design and implement Emerson DeltaV and Rockwell automation for Life Sciences. You will work in a dynamic system integration environment, delivering regulatory-compliant automation for biopharma and API manufacturing.

You will mentor junior engineers, travel up to 30%, and collaborate with electrical, process, validation, and project teams while upholding GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, and cGMP.

Qualifications

• Requires professional degree in Electrical/Controls engineering and 6–12 years of automation experience.
• Emerson DeltaV expertise with DeltaV Batch configuration is essential.
• Familiarity with Rockwell/Siemens PCS7 or other PLC/DCS/SCADA systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and implement Emerson DeltaV control systems in line with WM standards and customer specs.
• Design and program Batch processes per ISA-88 standards (including DeltaV).
• Collaborate with life sciences clients to gather requirements and deliver customized automation solutions.
• Engineer system architecture, hardware specs, and control strategies for manufacturing efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with GAMP5, cGMP, and 21 CFR Part 11 during validation.
