Job summary

Lilly invites a Senior Principal Engineer - Automation Engineering to join the Automation Engineering Department at the Lilly Medicine Foundry. You will lead capital projects across site operations, drive design reviews, and mentor peers to ensure compliant, validated automation solutions.

Role supports GMP manufacturing, DeltaV/Rockwell expertise, and cross-functional collaboration. Initial location in Indianapolis with transition to Lebanon, Indiana, as site expands.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Engineering with 8+ years in Biopharma Automation.
• Experience with DeltaV batch and pharma manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly will not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Provide automation leadership for capital projects and startup.
• Mentor site area leads and system integrators.
• Develop and implement process control strategies with Process Engineering.
• Lead design reviews and FATs; ensure validated control software.
