Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Automation Engineering Manager for the Drug Product automation team in Wilson, NC. You will lead a multidisciplinary group responsible for controls, packaging, aseptic filling, inspection, and robotics, ensuring lifecycle-driven automation delivery.

The role requires extensive experience in pharma automation, cGMP compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with Process Engineering, Quality, IT, and Validation to optimize manufacturing performance and data

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years of progressive automation experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Demonstrated leadership directing automation engineers, contractors, OEM teams, and service providers.
Deep knowledge of ISA-95 Level 1/2 and associated hardware/software.
Strong understanding of cGMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity and risk-based validation.

Responsabilités

Provide end-to-end automation engineering leadership for Drug Product automation from concept through lifecycle.
Define strategy, architecture, and governance for automation, controls, and interfaces with MES and site systems.
Oversee design, FAT/SAT, commissioning, qualification, and lifecycle support of automation solutions.
Lead the technical design authority for automation across formulation, aseptic filling, inspection, packaging, robotics, and material handling.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, and drive continuous improvement across automation performance.
