Job summary

Koch Business Solutions, LP is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer to create reusable automation capabilities, enable platform engineering, and drive operational efficiency across IT Employee Services.

The role partners with product, engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations to translate business needs into practical automation, modernize patterns, and mentor engineers while delivering automation-first outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and supporting automation and DevOps solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in modern deployment practices and IaC tooling to reduce manual work and improve reliability.
• Ability to analyze telemetry, incidents, and service requests to identify automation opportunities and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain DevOps and automation architecture, CI/CD patterns, and IaC standards.
• Design and maintain automations that eliminate manual work across teams.
• Leverage AI, copilots, APIs, and event-driven architectures to create self-service capabilities.
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritize modernization and align solutions to business outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor teams on DevOps and engineering best practices.
• Analyze operational data to identify automation opportunities and improve reliability.
