Job summary

Koch Business Solutions, LP is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer to create reusable automation capabilities and drive platform engineering across IT Employee Services. You will partner with product, engineering, security, and operations to deliver automation that reduces manual work and accelerates delivery.

The role requires in-office presence in Plano, TX with flexibility, and a focus on modernization, AI-enabled tooling, and scalable automation patterns. VISA sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and supporting automation, DevOps, cloud, or platform solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, APIs, workflow orchestration, and other automation technologies.
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and IaC using common tools.
• Ability to identify automation opportunities from telemetry and service data.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target-state DevOps and automation architecture, including CI/CD patterns and IaC standards.
• Design, build, and maintain automations that reduce manual work across teams.
• Leverage AI, Copilot, APIs, and event-driven architectures to create self-service capabilities.
• Partner with engineering and security to prioritize modernization and align solutions to business outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on DevOps, automation, and engineering best practices.
• Analyze operational data and incidents to drive continuous operational excellence.
