What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and commission industrial automation systems from concept through startup
- Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications using platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Ignition
- Design and integrate complete control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, networking, safety systems, and field devices
- Work directly with clients to gather requirements and develop tailored automation solutions
- Lead and manage multiple projects while ensuring quality, timelines, and customer expectations are met
- Travel to customer sites for commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and support (typically 20–35%)
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the automation team
What Theyre Looking For
- 5–7+ years of industrial automation or controls engineering experience
- Experience working for a systems integrator, automation OEM, or engineering consulting firm strongly preferred
- Strong experience designing and developing PLC/HMI applications using Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens platforms
- Experience commissioning and integrating complete industrial automation systems
- Experience working directly with customers in a project-based engineering environment
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)
Nice to Have
- Experience with multiple automation platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, FactoryTalk, etc.)
- Experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers
- Experience with robotics, machine vision, motion control, industrial networking, or safety systems
- Experience supporting customers across multiple industries or manufacturing environments
