  • Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring seamless system integration and reliability.
  • Develop control system documentation, including I/O lists, wiring diagrams, and network layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to improve system performance and uptime.
  • Provide on‑site startup support and field assistance as needed (local/regional travel only, typically 10–15%).
  • Mentor junior engineers or technicians on programming and system best practices.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing and programming industrial automation systems.
  • Proficiency with Allen‑Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and control networks.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, machine safety, and industrial standards (NFPA 70E, ISO, OSHA).
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience
  • Robotics integration (Fanuc, ABB, or Yaskawa).
  • Experience with SCADA, MES connectivity, or motion control applications.
  • Familiarity with EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
