General Dynamics IT seeks an Automation Developer to support automation, event management, and systems integration within a mission-critical DoD infrastructure. The role focuses on Linux, scripting, and enterprise automation across NetCool, Ansible, and GitLab environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in related fields and hold U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. The position is hybrid, with on-site Pentagon presence and remote work days.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, automation, or DevOps.
• Hands-on Linux, scripting, automation, or systems integration in production enterprise IT environments.
• US Citizenship is required and DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop Python, Bash, or other scripts to automate recurring infrastructure and application activities.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure and application administration.
• Use GitLab to manage automation code, configuration, and documentation with version history.
• Identify manual processes to standardize, simplify, or automate.
• Develop automated system and application health checks and validation processes.
• Learn administration of IBM NetCool and support event management.
• Support event ingestion, filtering, enrichment, correlation, prioritization, and escalation.
• Support NetCool configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Integrate infrastructure platforms via APIs, SNMP, syslog, and structured data.
• Troubleshoot data flows between monitoring, event management, and IT service management.
