Job summary

Addtronics Custom Automation (ACA) designs and builds automation systems for manufacturing. The Controls Engineer will define controls architecture, verify electrical designs to meet ACA standards, and ensure safety and cost targets are achieved across projects.

The role requires PLC/HMI programming, servo/drive motion control, CAD-based design, and collaboration with a team of engineers. Travel to customer sites is expected as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Electrical troubleshooting of industrial control panels and machines.
• PLC and HMI programming using Ladder Logic with Allen-Bradley.
• Motion control of servo, stepper, and induction motors with VFDs/Servos.
• Electrical control system design using CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical).
• Industrial robotics experience with multi-axis robots (Fanuc/Epson).
• Teamwork and collaboration with technical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Document project requirements and communicate to the project team.
• Develop controls architecture per ACA standards and customer specs.
• Verify electrical design packages for codes, safety, and accuracy.
• Create designs that meet functionality and safety before shop release.
• Interpret internal cost sheets and develop costed plans.
• Report project status and ensure milestones are met.
