Job summary

Corning seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and support of advanced automation systems across manufacturing lines. You will champion PLC, HMI, SCADA, and vision-based controls, ensuring safety, reliability, and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
4+ years of controls, automation, or manufacturing engineering experience.
Hands-on experience programming and commissioning PLC/SCADA/HMI for industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation, and support of PLC, HMI, SCADA, motion, vision, and safety control systems.
Serve as controls technical lead for capital projects and equipment upgrades.
Develop and maintain controls software and architectures (Beckhoff TwinCAT, Allen-Bradley).
Mentor engineers and ensure safe, reliable, and scalable automation solutions.
Drive improvements in process capability, OEE, and lifecycle cost through innovative controls.
