Job summary

JCB is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and troubleshoot automated control systems for manufacturing operations in Pooler, GA. You will analyze requirements and integrate hardware and software to ensure optimal performance across PLCs, sensors, and MES interfaces.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10 years of controls experience, strong C/C++, MATLAB or Python skills, and deep knowledge of Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, robotics, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Eng. or related field.
• 8–10 years of controls engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, or Python; PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience with robotics and motion control systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements, specifications, and performance objectives.
• Design and implement control systems, algorithms and strategies with PLCs, sensors, actuators, HMI, MES integration.
• Develop and maintain control system schematics, logic and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions.
• Ensure safety and quality standards compliance; troubleshoot and minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and process optimization.
