Job summary

Prysmian in Taunton, MA is seeking an experienced Electrical/Control Systems Engineer to manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, install and configure software, and develop control logic for complex equipment.

You will read and interpret electrical schematics, optimize PLC and drive systems, lead projects from design through startup, ensure safety, and maintain documentation for a reliability-focused manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• PLC programming experience; Wonderware a plus.
• Ability to multi-task across projects and priorities.
• Advanced knowledge of motor controls, drives, PLCs and relays.
• Read and/or create PID drawings and install control devices from drawings.
• Extended work hours may be required to meet production demands.
• Able to climb stairs and work in varying seasonal temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, evaluate and maintain operating systems and tools.
• Develop, write, and debug control logic for machine control.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Document control logic work; keep documentation current and backed up.
• Prepare reports and provide feedback to management to improve operations.
