Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking an Automation professional to support the manufacturing of Medium and Low Voltage Cable. You will develop PLC and HMI programs and provide controls and automation for improvement projects and production support.

The role emphasizes mentoring the electrical team, enhancing safety and equipment reliability, and assisting with commissioning and backups per plant standards in a highly automated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or technical degree in controls/automation or equivalent experience.
• Experience with PLC/HMI programming and automation projects.
• Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 45001/ISO 14001).
• Ability to mentor electrical team and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PLC and HMI programs for production and facilities.
• Provide controls and automation support for manufacturing of optical fiber/medium and low voltage cables.
• Instruct and mentor electrical team members.
• Improve electrical safety and equipment efficiency across the facility.
• Inspect and maintain electrical systems and calibrations.
• Support commissioning of new equipment for production.
