Job summary
Applied Aerospace & Defense in Santa Ana is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician with a strong background in industrial automation, machine troubleshooting, and PLC control systems. The position requires hands-on experience with board-level diagnostics and a technical diploma or associate’s degree in Electronics/Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics.
Qualifications
- Experience reading electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair CNC and automated machinery with PLC-controlled systems.
- Proven diagnostic skills with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and related test equipment.
- Familiarity with CMMS documentation and proper reporting.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC and other automated machinery with PLC-controlled systems.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in Siemens, Fanuc, and Allen-Bradley controller systems.
- Perform board-level diagnostics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, or other electronic test equipment.
- Interpreting electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic, and control system diagrams.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action for recurring equipment failures.
- Document repairs, adjustments, and modifications in the CMMS system.
