Job summary

Nightwing in the Herndon area is seeking an Automated Tester to join a small test team supporting multiple software applications from emerging tech to legacy systems. The role combines automated code writing with manual testing when necessary, and includes performance/load testing as the project grows.

Candidates must have TS/SCI with Poly on day one, strong SQL, Selenium WebDriver, Java development skills, and experience with Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL queries for data validation.
• Expert in Selenium WebDriver.
• Development of automated code (Java) rather than record/replay.
• Able to evaluate developer assignments and design tests.
• Proficient in using an IDE to code (e.g., IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans).
• Experience with Linux environment and Bash scripting.
• Experience writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios.
• History of manual and automated test processes.
• Able to work in a evolving work environment.
• QA/testing approach references vulnerabilities and best practices.
• Maintain and update the test environment.
• Must have development skills due to automated testing.
• Experience with JMeter and/or Selenium.
