Job summary

Nightwing seeks a detail-driven Manual Test Engineer to join our agile team in Sterling, VA. You will collaborate with the Test Lead and developers to ensure our applications are reliable, intuitive, and ready for real-world use.

The ideal candidate will hold TS/SCI with Poly on Day 1 and excel at developing test plans, cases, and scripts, plus performing hands-on testing and regression analyses to prevent reintroduction of issues.

In this role, you will work closely with the Test Lead, Software Developers, and other Quality Assurance professionals to ensure our applications are reliable, intuitive, and ready for real-world use. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a keen sense of ownership, comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment, and has a collaborative mindset with a passion for quality and continuous improvement. What You Will Get to Do: Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and technical specifications. Analyze product features, design test parameters, create customized quality checks, and write test reports documenting actual test results. Perform hands-on manual and exploratory testing for all software releases. Identify, document, and drive resolution of defects and perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues. Participate in regression testing to confirm fixes and prevent reintroducing issues.

TS/SCI with Polygraph Required Day 1 Salary & Benefits

• The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
