Bergey's Chevrolet in Colmar, PA is seeking a skilled automotive technician/mechanic capable of diagnosing and repairing vehicles, with specialization areas and experience as a general A-level technician.

The role requires performing repairs to dealership and factory standards, documenting work, and communicating needs with the parts and service teams. Full-time with no Sunday shifts, located in Colmar, PA.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as an automotive technician outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs mechanic repairs.
• Auto Technician/mechanic communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer as an automotive technician.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended as a mechanic.
• Auto Mechanic/automotive technician communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order as a mechanic.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test automotive technician.
