Job summary

Manheim, part of Cox Automotive, is seeking a Senior Mechanic Tech to perform advanced auto repairs and diagnostics with leadership duties in a shop environment in Michigan. You will guide junior techs, ensure quality control, and maintain safety standards across daily tasks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years automotive service and repair experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Michigan State Master Mechanic Certification and/or 5 ASE Certifications.
• High school diploma or GED.
• ASE Certifications: A1-8, L1 in emission states (where required).

Responsibilities

• Perform level 1–3 auto tech responsibilities.
• Repair brakes, drivability, steering, suspension, electrical, AC and major engine work.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and complete repairs.
• Provide guidance or training to other shop personnel.
• Perform quality checks and report issues to supervisor.
• Ensure safety SOPs and environmental requirements are followed.
