Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is hiring a Senior Auto Maintenance Technician in Michigan. You will perform heavy-duty repairs and diagnostics, mentoring shop personnel and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years of automotive service experience, Michigan Master Mechanic Certification and/or 5 ASE Certifications, and a valid driver’s license. Day shift, on-site work with strong pay and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• 5+ years of automotive service and repair experience.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Michigan State Master Mechanic Certification and/or a minimum of 5 ASE Certifications.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
• ASE Certifications: A1-8, L1 when required by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of repairs including brakes, drivability, steering, suspension, electrical, safety inspections, AC, and major engine work.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and complete repairs.
• Provide guidance or training to less experienced staff when needed.
• Quality control checks and communication with supervisor on outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental requirements.
