Job summary

Blain’s Farm & Fleet in Madison, WI, is seeking a Service Center Automotive Technician to perform a wide range of automotive services in our Automotive Service Center. You will deliver excellent customer service while repairing and installing tires, balancing wheels, installing batteries and headlamps, and performing oil changes.

Responsibilities include brake and charging system work, steering/suspension, alignments, hitch wiring, and other duties with on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Repair and install tires.
• Balance wheels.
• Install batteries, headlamps and other basic automotive parts.
• Perform oil changes.
• Brake system repair.
• Repair starting and charging systems.
• Steering and suspension work.
• Shock/strut installation.
• Install trailer hitches and wiring.
• Other duties with on-the-job training.
