Responsibilities include managing litigation with defense counsel, drafting reservations of rights, and gathering essential documentation. The role requires 7–10 years of auto claims experience and the ability to secure needed settlements within policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in auto claims handling.
• JD a plus but not required.
• Ability to pass state exams to become a licensed claim adjuster.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigated/complex auto claims per office procedures.
• Determine coverage and draft reservations of rights letters.
• Gather statements, police reports, medical records, photographs, and appraisals.
• Manage litigation with defense counsel and experts; handle declaratory actions.
• Maintain diaries and file documentation per regulations and company policies.
• Present claim evaluations to obtain appropriate settlement authority.
• Maintain indemnity/expense reserves and onsite reviews as needed.
