Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least 3 years of litigation claims experience.
• Current 6-20 all lines license required.

Responsibilities

• Review information and identify involved parties and exposures after confirming insurance coverage.
• Obtain, verify, and preserve documents to formulate liability and damages decisions.
• Assign vendors and experts for specific assignments as needed.
• Monitor adequacy of all claim reserves and adjust within authority.
• Make timely liability decisions and set appropriate strategy for resolution.
• Work closely with defense counsel to direct litigation activity and respond to discovery.
• Participate in arbitrations, mediations, settlements, and trials, including travel.
• Document claim activity in the claims management system.
• Report high exposure files to senior management and excess insurers.
• Submit information to CMS/Medicare, ISO, and flag fraud indicators.
