Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking an experienced auto body repair technician to evaluate damaged vehicles, plan efficient repair routes, and collaborate with colleagues to complete work on schedule.

The role requires using a frame machine, holding a body repair certification, and I-CAR welding skills, with strong attention to measuring data and safety. Competitive compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package and a commission/flag pay structure.

Qualifications

• Frames and measuring data interpretation accuracy for repair decisions.
• Certification in body repair and I-CAR welding knowledge are preferred.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel and ensure safety compliance.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by different manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicle and plan repair process.
• Coordinate with team on repair status and workflow.
• Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decide repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Disassemble/reassemble parts to access components.
• Attend required safety meetings and follow procedures.
• Finish surfaces with grinding/sanding using tools.
• Direct apprentices and explain procedures when needed.
