Job summary

Pascua Yaqui Tribe seeks a Senior Auditor to lead complex internal audits across enterprises, government, grants, and information systems. The role requires deep knowledge of laws and government finance principles, and includes consulting on compliance issues to tribal departments.

The candidate will oversee audit programs, document work papers, and coach ASD team members while ensuring data reliability and timely recommendations. A CIA certification path is encouraged within three years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field; 3 years of progressively responsible auditing experience or professional certification(s) or equivalent.
• Commitment to CIA certification within 3 years of joining ASD.
• Must sign and abide by the Audit Services Department's Conflict of Interest and Code of Conduct.
• Progressive leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned audits and special projects.
• Perform independent analyses of PYT enterprises and grant administration.
• Assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Coordinate and lead internal audits, coaching ASD team members.
• Prepare audit reports and follow up on corrective actions.
