Job summary

Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) seeks an Audit Senior with a real estate focus to lead engagements from planning to completion. Hybrid role with several NY-area offices, including Jericho, NY. Ideal candidate has real estate audit experience, solid GAAP knowledge, and strong client relationship skills.

The role requires CPA eligibility and a minimum of 2 years in public accounting. You will mentor staff, manage multiple engagements, and ensure audit quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or 150 credit hours/CPA eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years public accounting experience.
• Audit experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and GAAS.
• Experience managing audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership and staff supervision experience.
• Real estate audit/accounting experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audit, review, and compilation procedures, including control testing and substantive testing.

Location:

Hybrid 2 days onsite for the following locations: Rock Center (NYC), White Plains, Florham Park, Melville and Jericho.

Salary:

$75,000-$125,000 (based on experience)

Job Description:

The Audit Senior will conduct audit, review, and compilation procedures, including control testing, substantive testing, and analytical procedures. The individual will coordinate day-to-day engagement activities, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up, while ensuring engagements remain on schedule and within budget.

The Senior will be expected to demonstrate strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS, lead engagements from planning through completion, supervise and mentor staff, and maintain strong client relationships.

Real Estate-specific focus:

The key hiring need is a Senior with experience auditing real estate entities and financial statements. Ideally, candidates will have experience with:

• Real estate GAAP
• Tax-basis audits
• Property-level audits
• Fund-level audits
• Real estate investment entitiesCertiorari experience (preferred, but not required)

MUST HAVEs:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience.
