Job summary

Growing Real Estate Company is seeking a Senior Accountant with a public accounting background and real estate experience to join our Irvine team. This role blends corporate, property, and fund accounting to support monthly close, journal entries, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA, has 2+ years in public accounting, and demonstrates strong Excel and ERP proficiency, excellent communication, and solid analytical skills to drive accurate reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related.
• At least 2 years public accounting experience.
• Experience in the real estate industry.
• CPA background is preferred.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive the month end close, prepare and post journal entries, and assist with internal financial reporting.
• Month-end activities, journal entries, GL & account reconciliation, and accruals.
• Account analysis to review monthly flux analysis and variance analysis between actual and budget.
• Manage cash flows, reconciling cash and investments.
• Ensure accurate recording of revenues and expenses.
• Maintain strong ERP and Excel usage and support internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Seeking a strong Accountant (CPA) out of public accounting for a strong real estate company here locally.
• Position will be blend of corporate accounting, property accounting and fund accounting.
• Core responsibilities will include driving the month end close, prepare and post journal entries, monthly bank reconciliations, and assist with internal financial reporting.
• Month-end activities, journal entries, GL & account reconciliation, and accruals.
• Account analysis to review monthly flux analysis and variance analysis between actual and budget.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Manage cash flows, reconciling cash and investments
• Ensure accurate recording of revenues and expenses.
• Strong ERP skills highly desired and strong Excel skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills would be necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related.
• It would be necessary to have at least 2 years public accounting and ideally a mix of public and private experience.
• Experience with the real estate industry
