PNM in Albuquerque, NM, or Alvin, TX invites experienced auditors to join our TXNM Energy team as Auditor I (G07) or Senior Auditor (G06). You will plan, conduct, and lead financial, operational, and regulatory audits across the organization, focusing on internal controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 4+ years of auditing, accounting, finance, compliance, or related experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and/or lead financial, operational, compliance, regulatory, information technology, and investigative audits.
• Manage audit engagements through all phases: planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, reporting, follow-up.
• Develop and document audit programs, testing methodologies, work papers, and procedures.
• Evaluate internal controls, business processes, and operational practices.
• Review activities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards such as GAAP, SOX, NERC.
• Analyze data to identify risks, inefficiencies, or non-compliance; propose improvements.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
• Monitor corrective actions and support process improvements.
