Job summary

Irvine Company is seeking a Senior Auditor to conduct high-impact audits and advisory projects across apartment processes, ITGCs, and operations. The role requires planning, leading, and communicating findings to management with actionable recommendations.

The position emphasizes compliance, process improvement, and collaboration with IT, finance, and operations teams to strengthen internal controls. Base pay range is $100,700–$129,300 with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, information technology, computer science, business administration, or related field.
• 2+ years in public accounting or equivalent auditing experience (Big Four preferred), with real estate or property management background.
• Experience executing ITGCs and operational audits within real estate or property management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and execute structured operational and IT reviews to improve internal controls and increase operating effectiveness.
• Partner with Apartments Compliance to evaluate processes and ensure alignment with best practices.
• Perform ITGC reviews focusing on system access, change management, backup/recovery, and security operations.
• Collaborate with IT, financial, and operational groups to deliver value by guiding risk management and evaluating controls.
• Execute walkthroughs, interview stakeholders, review documentation, and prepare comprehensive audit workpapers.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across divisions and identify process improvements.
• Complete scheduled audits and advisory projects in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate results to Internal Audit Management and management with recommendations for corrective action.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with process owners and team members.
