TrovaTal is seeking a Senior Auditor to join a National CPA Firm in Boston. The role combines client-facing audit work with leadership of junior staff, focusing on planning, fieldwork, and completion of engagements across a diverse client base.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of public accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 25% annually in a hybrid Boston office environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of public accounting audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards.
• Hybrid schedule in Boston office.
• Travel up to 20-25% annually.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients regularly to coordinate and execute a range of audit and assurance activities
• Participate in the planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit engagements
• Perform substantive testing and analysis of client balance sheets, income statements, and supporting documentation
• Prepare and review financial statements, workpapers, and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance with professional standards
• Assist with engagement budgets, timelines, expenses, and staff allocation
• Supervise and guide junior audit staff throughout engagements
• Identify areas of audit risk and work with senior management to develop appropriate audit procedures and recommendations
• Provide guidance to clients as it relates to audit findings, accounting standards, and best practices
• Maintain regular communication with clients and engagement teams throughout the audit process
