Job summary

The Office of the New York City Comptroller is seeking a Senior Auditor for Data & Innovation within the Bureau of Labor Law. You will conduct audits of contractors to ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and will lead data-driven reviews using the City's EComply portal.

You will train staff in AI tools, collaborate with the Bureau's partners and IS&T, and help implement new auditing technologies across the unit. NYC residency requirement applies.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in auditing, accounting, finance, economics, statistics, law, quantitative or qualitative research methodology, mathematics, data science, management, public or business administration, computer science/information technology, or a related field, and one of the following:
• (a) one year of full-time satisfactory experience in performance auditing... or (b) a valid CPA license; or (c) a valid CIA certificate. To be eligible for Assignment Level II, at least one year of experience as a Management Auditor or two years of performance auditing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of books and records of contractors to determine compliance with labor laws.
• Serve as lead point person in managing data in the EComply system.
• Train and support Bureau auditors in adoption of AI tools.
