Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Lead Auditor - Data & AI to deliver independent assurance on innovative data and AI initiatives. You will work with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, advancing audit techniques and governance for responsible data use across a global organization.

Hybrid role with a focus on improving governance, risk management, and control environments. A strong background in data governance, AI risk, and audit delivery is required to drive strategic insights and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in auditing, consulting, or implementing data and AI solutions.
• Understanding of data and AI concepts, principles, techniques, and tools, such as data governance, data quality, data security, data privacy, AI governance, AI risk management, AI explainability, and AI performance.
• Clear written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey audit findings and recommendations effectively.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple audit engagements and deliver high-quality results within deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Support risk assessments and development of audit plans for data and AI governance areas.
• Lead and support audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and managing issues to closure via collaboration with audit teams and key stakeholders.
• Identify audit issues, present findings, and recommend improvements to reduce risks.
• Prepare clear and concise audit deliverables that support audit conclusions and meet quality standards.
• Stay updated on data and AI trends, technologies, and regulations, applying insights to audit engagements and supporting the education of data and AI risks and controls to audit teams.
