Job summary

MetLife is seeking a senior Internal Audit leader to oversee risk-based audit coverage of data engineering, data governance, data science, AI risk and governance, and enterprise AI platforms. The role drives governance alignment as MetLife accelerates AI adoption under its New Frontier Strategy, coordinating across Global Risk Management and Analytics teams.

Qualifications

10+ years of consulting experience with data governance and AI governance.
Proven ability to partner across global teams and communicate complex results.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Risk Management, or related field; CIA/CISA/CRISC preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct risk assessments and align audit coverage for data areas, and AI risk, governance, platforms, and tools.
Lead advisory and assurance reviews, evaluating risks and improvement opportunities.
Establish and enable guidelines for the audit capabilities, guiding regional audit teams to assess and advise on relevant key risks and controls in local audit reviews.
Communicate audit results and recommendations to key stakeholders, including sharing insights on leading practices.
Support Audit Committee communications on the department’s audit coverage and results for data and AI, including looking across the enterprise for key thematic data and AI issues.
