Job summary

MetLife’s Internal Audit organization seeks a Lead Auditor – Data & AI to deliver independent assurance over data and AI initiatives while partnering with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams. You’ll help modernize audit techniques and influence governance to keep pace with evolving technology.

This role blends technical expertise, risk mindset, and strategic impact, helping shape responsible data and AI practices across a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of auditing, consulting, or implementing data and AI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of data and AI governance, quality, security, privacy, AI governance, AI risk management, AI explainability, and AI performance.
• Clear written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey audit findings and recommendations effectively.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple audit engagements and deliver high‑quality results within deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Support risk assessments and development of audit plans for data and AI governance areas.
• Lead and support audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and managing issues to closure via collaboration with audit teams and key stakeholders.
• Identify audit issues, present findings, and recommend improvements to reduce risks.
• Prepare clear and concise audit deliverables that support audit conclusions and meet quality standards.
• Stay updated on data and AI trends, technologies, and regulations, applying insights to audit engagements and supporting the education of data and AI risks and controls to audit teams.
