Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

The role involves developing audit plans, supervising audit teams, evaluating accounting systems and internal controls, and preparing reports with recommendations for improvements. The position is based with the Florida Legislature's Auditor General office and has multiple locations throughout Florida.

Key qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with major coursework in accounting and 30 semester hours beyond the baccalaureate degree meeting CPA licensure requirements, plus two years of relevant professional experience; or p
• Knowledge of accounting, auditing, and professional standards
• Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data and communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to supervise people and coordinate work assignments
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and administrative requirements
• Ability to handle confidential information and maintain objectivity
