Audit and Assurance Senior (In-Charge)

Our client is a fast growing firm that gives professionals the opportunity to build strong client relationships while maintaining capped hours during busy season. The position is hybrid with opportunities for growth and overtime during busy season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all stages of audit engagements for private business clients including planning execution and wrap up
• Perform risk assessments and create tailored audit strategies based on the client’s business environment
• Test financial statements internal controls and business processes to confirm compliance with current audit standards
• Interpret financial information identify patterns and make recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls
• Prepare and review audit documentation financial reports and supporting materials for completeness and accuracy
• Partner with clients to better understand their operations challenges and goals while offering valuable suggestions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance or a related field
• CPA license or progress toward certification is preferred
• Three or more years of experience in public accounting with an emphasis on audit and assurance for private companies
• In depth knowledge of audit standards financial reporting under GAAP and internal control systems
• Hands on experience with audit planning execution and risk analysis
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to provide actionable insights from financial data
• Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to build trust with clients and collaborate with team members
