Overview

Our client, a well-established and growing company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team and take ownership of key accounting functions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial data and reporting, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with exposure to all aspects of the accounting cycle.

Base pay

$85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze internal financial statements and management reports on a monthly basis
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate classification of transactions
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities; analyze variances and provide insights to leadership
• Support external audit and tax processes, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and GAAP standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, AR, and operational teams to streamline accounting processes
• Identify and implement improvements in processes and systems to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Serve as a resource and mentor to junior accountants and accounting assistants

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA track preferred)
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a corporate, multi-entity, or mid-size business environment
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
• Proficiency with NetSuite
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.)
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of processes
