Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Distinct North America, a specialist CPA firm, is seeking an Audit Senior for a fully remote role within Florida. You will own engagements from planning through completion, maintain direct client contact, and coach staff, all while leveraging standardized processes.
The position offers strong mentorship and growth within a growing practice. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in public accounting audit, including nonprofit, single audit, governmental, or Employee Benefit Plan work, and are
$90,000 to $100,000. Fully remote. Effectively zero client site travel. And you don't need a CPA.
Not a bad start for an Audit Senior role.
This is a specialist CPA firm that's figured out something surprisingly useful.
When you do a high volume of similar audits, you can actually build proper processes around them.
So instead of reinventing the audit every Monday morning, you'll work on smaller, repeatable engagements with good technology, offshore support and a team that knows how the work should flow.
You'll own engagements from planning through completion, have direct client contact and review and coach Staff.
You'll still get your hands dirty with the more complex work too. This isn't one of those Senior roles where you spend your entire life clearing review notes and updating trackers.
The clients are predominantly community associations.
Never audited one?
That's fine.
Experience with Nonprofit, Single Audit, governmental or Employee Benefit Plan audits can translate really well. They're more interested in whether you can juggle multiple engagements, review Staff and get good work out the door.
A few other things you'll probably care about:
$90,000 to $100,000
Fully remote within Florida
401(k) with company match
Medical, dental, vision and life insurance
Paid time off and holidays
No expectation to bring in business
Structured mentoring and development
A growing firm creating opportunities above you
You'll need around 3+ years of public accounting audit experience and should already be comfortable taking ownership of engagements with limited supervision.
CPA?
Great if you have it. Not a requirement if you don't.
If you're good at audit but could happily live without the commute, client site travel and unnecessary chaos that sometimes comes with it, this is probably worth a conversation.
