Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead audit engagements and supervise staff across the three lines of defense. You will coordinate with RCA teams to ensure effective risk management programs and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include planning, reviewing, and reporting on audits, coaching staff, and driving timely, high-quality work while partnering with various business lines to minimize gaps and exposures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically, more than six years of applicable experience.
• Industry knowledge in financial services and controls (SOX, FRS, etc.).
• Bachelor's Degree preferably in accounting or finance.
• Experience auditing risks and controls in Financial Services.
• 7+ years in internal auditing, public accounting or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Leadership and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• IIA Standards understanding and internal controls knowledge (CIA/CPA or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Supervise audit staff to ensure high-quality engagements.
• Provide coaching on scope, accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure evidence supports audit scope and conclusions.
• Identify exposures and craft cost-effective corrective actions.
• Plan engagements by analyzing processes, risks and controls.
• Report findings and draft audit reports.
• Monitor progress and timely completion of work papers.
• Provide on-the-job training for staff.
• Collaborate across lines of defense with IT, AML, Compliance, Risk, Treasury, etc.
• Adjust workload and coordinate with teams as needed.
