Job summary

Capital One seeks a Principal Auditor for Audit Practices - Methodology in a hybrid role. You will update and modernize audit methodologies, coordinate complex initiatives, and deliver clear communications to audit teams and leadership.

You will leverage analytics to gain insights, train staff, and collaborate across the Audit Insights & Innovation teams to drive efficient, compliant workflows. Hybrid work requires on-site presence as per policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in auditing, accounting, financial analysis, compliance, or a combination.
• At least 2 years of experience in leading audit projects.
• Master’s degree and professional certification (CIA/CPA/CISA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support audit methodology updates and related enhancement efforts.
• Participate in the design and execution of best-in-class operational processes.
• Coordinate and execute on small to moderately complex projects, owning completion of assigned work.
• Prepare and deliver clear verbal and written communication to audit teams and leadership.
• Leverage data and analytical tools to drive insights on department behavior and challenges.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and establish relations with key stakeholders.
• Facilitate audit training sessions in small and large groups.
• Partner with teams to modernize workflows across the audit lifecycle, from ideation to training.
• Identify and champion prioritization of enhancements grounded in research and business needs.
