Talent With Heart, a regional accounting and advisory firm seeks a Senior Audit Manager to lead assurance engagements from its Latham office. The role entails managing audit work for clients, guiding the local team and supporting growth in the Capital Region.

Required: Bachelor's in accounting, CPA preferred, progressive public-accounting audit experience, and strong GAAP/GAAS knowledge. Regular office presence is expected, with potential advancement toward Principal or Partner and relocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Progressive public-accounting audit experience.
• Current or previous Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager title preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS.
• Experience managing engagements and reviewing financial statements.
• Demonstrated client-management and staff-development experience.
• Strong communication, judgment and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work regularly from the Latham office.
• Capital Region residency or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage audit and assurance engagements.
• Review financial statements, workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm quality requirements.
• Manage engagement schedules, staffing, budgets and client expectations.
• Serve as a primary contact for audit clients.
• Identify accounting, reporting and internal-control issues.
• Review staff work and provide technical guidance.
• Coach and develop employees.
• Coordinate engagements across multiple offices.
• Provide a consistent leadership presence in the Latham office.
• Support client growth and broader firm initiatives.
